Vinyl composition tile depends on a maintained finish system for appearance and protection. TFS can coordinate stripping, finish application and burnishing based on the floor's present condition, traffic and the maintenance result the property expects.
The property need
Layers of worn or uneven finish can trap soil, show traffic lanes and respond poorly to repeated top-coating. A successful reset requires preparation, edge work, removal of old finish where specified and adequate cure time before the space returns to use.
What TFS can provide
- Assess the finish condition, floor layout, edges, obstacles and available closure window.
- Prepare the area and strip approved VCT surfaces using suitable solution, agitation and recovery methods.
- Detail edges and corners and rinse or neutralize the surface as required by the selected products.
- Apply the agreed number of finish coats with appropriate drying time between applications.
- Burnish suitable cured finish and recommend an interim maintenance rotation for traffic areas.
Coverage and customization
Service one room, a corridor system or a portfolio program in phases. Furniture movement, base edges, occupied access, humidity and cure time affect scheduling. Damaged tile, adhesive issues or discoloration within the material are not corrected by finish and are reported separately.
Communication and follow through
Confirm the areas, finish level, closure plan and person authorized to release the floor. Provide progress updates for phased work and document areas delayed by access or floor condition. Periodic burnishing can be scheduled separately from full stripping.
